Start from A
A –B = Hip Length, Draw a line across from ‘B’.
A –C = Skirt Length, Draw a line across from ‘C’.
A-A1 = ¼ waist circumference + ½” + 2” for dart.
A1 – A2 = Square up ½” for waist shape.
B – B1 = ¼ Hip Circ. + ½”.
C – C1 = Equal Measure to B-B1 draw a curve line to join points A2 – B1 and point B1 to C1.

DART
A - D = 1/10 Waist circumference, mark 3 & 4, ½” on either side of D.
From ‘D’ draw down 6” line parallel to side seam, mark D1 and join 3 & 4.
D – E = Midpoint of D – A2. mark 1 & 2, ½” on either side of E.

D1 – D2 = Draw down line intersecting at line C-C1.
E1 – E2 = Draw down line intersecting at line C-C1.
• Mention 1,2&3 as mentioned in Pattern Diagram.
• cut pattern on the line from D2 - D1 and E2 – E1.
• Close the Dart by folding pattern at dart points 3&4, 1&2. Fix it by Gum Tape.
• As you folding the dart, the pattern spreads accordingly.
• Flair can adjust as per requirement, by increasing or decreasing the dart width and fold the darts.
• Keep the pattern on another sheet and trace it. [Ref above pattern Diagram 2]. After tracing make smoother curve at waist and at bottom.

WAISTBAND
A - B = Waist Circumference.
B - B1 = 2 cm Button Stand
A - C = 5cm (not a fixed measurement)
C – D = Same measurement A-B. and join B.
D – D1 = B – B1.
A - C1 = ½ of A-C fold line join C2.

Points to consider:

1. Fabric Required 2.5 Mtrs’ length & width of 44".

2. slightly stretch fabric diagonally to align the warp & weft.

3. Iron the fabric to remove crease, prior to marking and place the draft.

4. if you are a beginner, prefer making the paper draft first, then pin it to fabric.
